"I wish you all the luck in finding out the history of the Brown boys. If it helps Peter used to also play for AFC Bournemouth. All boys: Peter, Brian and Danny also boxed. Dan Brown, my Granfather who died in 1973, used to own the Swanage boxing club, which was situated in the High Street and later moved to, what is now Woolworths. He had the property above the business.
I thank you for putting my appeal on the website, to find out more information on my late father David 'Danny' Brown. It may also help to know that Mr. George Willy of the Advertiser also knew the family. Once again, I wish you all the luck and Up the Swans! Best wishes Paul Brown"

"Very good to see that you have at last got a website.
Having played for Swanage in the 70s and 80s and now living in Switzerland it has been difficult to follow the clubs progress.
Please pass on my regards to Jimmy Hollywood Snr ( I haven't seen him since Man. United won their first Premier League title) - he will know what that means !!!
Perhaps you could put some names to the faces on the team pictures...
Yes you can put my message on the site. As for writing an article, well I'll have a think about it. There are surely enough ex players around who also played in the same era as myself. Alan Fooks and Peter Turrell would be the most prominent."
