05.05.12 - DL1 RESULT - DORCHESTER BOROUGH 7 SWANS RESERVES 2
Reserves Suffer Heavy Away Loss
Just like their First team conterparts, the Reserves were severely depleted for the trip to Dorchester Borough with the side travelleing to the Thomas Hardye Leisure Centre with a bare eleven man squad. The hosts had suffered a similar season to Swans in the third tier of Dorset football with a poor start and finish to the season sandwiched between an excellent spell mid-season. The high note for Borough was an impressive win over Champions elect Westland Sports Reserves in Decemeber.
With such a young in-experienced squad, Swans were up against it from the start, despite Borough shipping 12 goals in their previous two games. They stopped the rot in fine fashion though with a comprehensive 7-2 victory over Mark Watson's side. Their scorers were Jon Cooper, Tom Elford, Joe McHale and star of the show Dan Sidwell who beat Craig Richings in the visitors goal four times. Swans scorers were Brandon Ritchie and Judd Huse.
