HOMEPAGE NEWS - THE LATEST FROM DAYS PARK
13.06.13 - AGM TONIGHT
Just a quick reminder that tonight - Thursday - sees the Club AGM take part in the Bill Young Clubhouse starting at 7.30pm. This meeting has to be one of the most important in the Club's history so it would be encouraging to see a good turn out of supporters.
11.06.13 - SWANS HOST "SWANAGE FIGHT NIGHT"
The Club are delighted to announce that the Arthur Marsh Sports Hall at Day's Park will be hosting Swanage Fight Night on Saturday 20th July. The event sees a number of local Purbeck people go head to head in what promises to be a fun and entertaining night of white collar boxing. Current Swans Liam Currell and Dan Beeston are both on the card whilst ex-Swan Ricky King will also feature in one of eight bouts. The highlight being Joe Shepherd from Joes Gym go head to head with Springfield's Dan Lockwood, this fight tops the bill. Tickets are available from www.swanagefightnight.co.uk and they are selling fast with all Gold pakages nearly sold out already with over one month left before the event date.
07.06.13 - HOLT SET TO PERFORM DPL U-TURN?
It seems that Holt United may be set to stay in the DPL next season after withdrawing their recent withdrawal. The Gaunts Common outfit had expressed a desire to leave the League a week ago but now appeared to have made a dramatic u-turn. The DPL have yet to recieve written conformation of this new development, but if and when they do, the DPL could be back up to 17 teams for 2013/14.
In other news from the DPL, the League have announced that their sponsorship agreement with Magna Housing Association has come to an end after three years.
07.06.13 - SWANS DEDUCTED FURTHER THREE POINTS
Swans have been deducted a further three points and fined £200 after being unable to raise a side for the trip to Sherborne Town Reserves at the start of last month. As this is the Clubs second offence within one season, Swans will start next season as an associate DPL side and not a full member. The full member status will be re-instated for 2014/15 by the DPL Committee if Swans don't fall foul of the authorities next season. The Club would like to place on record their apologies to the DPL and to Sherborne Town for this episode.
31.05.13 - HOLT UNITED RESIGN FROM MAGNA DPL
The Magna Dorset Premier League looks set to contain only 16 teams for next season after Holt United withdrew from the League at last nights LMC meeting. The current DPL Cup holders have given no reason for their departure as yet, but they have indicated that the Club will contnue to run a side in the Bournemouth FA Hayward League.
28.05.13 - SWANS PROGRAMME EARNS NATIONAL PRAISE - DAILY ECHO
Swans matchday programme earning National praise. As reported by the Bournemouth Daily Echo. The same story will also appear in this weeks Swanage & Wareham Advertiser. To read the Daily Echo story - Click Here
27.05.13 - SWANS FEATURE IN TOP TEN NON-LEAGUE PHOTOS
Swans have featured in the top ten Non-League pictures taken by freelance photographer Stuart Tree who posts his work on the website wearesophoto.com. Stuart travelled to Swans FA Vase defeat at the hands of Newport Isle Of Wight back in October and has commented that the photos he took were some of his favourites from the season. As one of his top ten from 2012-13 he chose a picture of Swans Mark Bryant heading the ball clear from a Newport attacker. To see Stuart's full top ten plus his Swans photo - Click Here
23.05.13 - CHICKERELL & WINCANTON SET TO LEAVE DPL
Two of Swans Magna DPL rivals seem set to leave the Division with Wincanton Town up a level to the Toolstation Western League One and Chickerell United down to the Senior League. Rumours have been abound for a number of weeks about the two mentioned Clubs, although official conformation by the DPL is still to be forthcoming.
In this weeks Dorset Echo, Chickerell Secretary Tony Elliott confirmed to the paper that his side were leaving the DPL due to the costs associated with playing at Weymouth College. The Chickens hope to return to their Stalls base and play in the Dorset Senior League next season. The full story can be read by Clicking Here
Wincanton Town had applied for promotion to Step 6 for the second time and after being turned down for 2012/13, this time it seems they have been successful. Winky's website is carrying the following message "Congratulations to Wincanton Town FC on promotion the Western Toolstation Div 1!! Well done to all involved. Now the real graft starts"
With Mere Town applying for promotion to the DPL it would seem that the League may go back to 17 sides with Poole Borough receiving a reprive after finishing bottom and Chickerell and Wincanton plying their trades elsewhere. We wish both the Chickens and Winky the very best in the future and hope our paths cross again sometime soon.
23.05.13 - THIRDS HOST POSSUM'S IN FRIENDLY
Swans 'A's League campaign may have come to an end last night, but the side still have one match left to play this season as they take on Dorset League Three side Portesham United in a Charity Friendly on Saturday. With uncertainty over the future of the 'A' team for next season this game could be a farewell for management duo Martin Patterson, Ben Briggs and a number of their squad. The Bill Young Clubhouse bar will be open from 1pm, the match kick's off at 3pm with a BBQ after the match from 5pm.

Swans 'A' finished their Dorset League Five campaign with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Kangaroos Reserves. It was the first defeat that the side suffered at Day's Park this season. 16.05.13 - AGM SET FOR JUNE 13TH
The date for the Annual General Meeting of the Club for 2013 was set last night by the Club Committee for Thursday 13th June with a 7.30pm start in the Bill Young Clubhouse. With the Club enduring a season to forget in the main and many of the Club's officers deciding to step down, it's vital that replacements are elected and planning for 2013/14 commences as early as possible. To this end, the AGM has been brought forward by around a month.

15.05.13 - MAGNA DPL RESULT - SHERBORNE RESERVES 0 SWANS 0
Town Hold Swans In Stalemate
A point was good enough to secure Sherborne Town Reserves Magna DPL status for another season in a match that Swans could consider themselves a tad unfortunate to not claim all three points after missing a host of first half chances. For a full report - Click Here

Their is no date set at present for the re-scheduling of the match. The 'A' sides home clash with Kangaroos Reserves scheduled for this Saturday has also been called off due to the visitors being short of players. This match has been re-arranged for Wednesday 22nd May with a 6.30pm kick-off.
11.05.13 - FIXTURE NEWS
The Dorset League Five match between Marnhull and Swans 'A' played last Saturday has been declared a home walkover in favour of Marnhull. Swans won the fixture 7-1, but owing to the fact that both the Reserves and First teams had to call off their games due to transport issues and a lack of available players, the game has been awarded to Marnhull. This action has meant that Pimperne Sports Society can't be caught at the top of the division so they will be crowned DL5 Champions. Well done to all at Pimperne on their League title.
11.05.13 - MAGNA DPL RESULT - HOLT UNITED 4 SWANS 1
