11.05.12 - PHILLIPS RETURNS TO DAY'S PARK HOTSEAT

The Club are delighted to announce that the new First team managers for season 2012/13 will be Jason Phillips and Tim Brown. Taking charge of the Reserves are Lee James and Anthony Warrington with Ben Briggs, Martin Patterson and Ian Hollywood in charge of the Thirds. 10.05.12 - NEW SWANS MANAGEMENT TEAM SET TO BE REVEALED

After a meeting of Club Officers tonight, the identity of the new First team manager will be exclusively revealed at 5pm tomorrow here on our official website. With Mark Watson stepping down as Reserves manager too, a new boss for our Second X1 will also be announced.

10.05.12 - END OF SEASON PRESENTATION EVENING

Swans end of season presentation evening and awards night will take place on Friday 25th May in the Bill Young Clubhouse starting at 7.30pm. There will be a disco and buffet on the evening and all supporters, sponsors and players are invited to attend. Dress code for the evening is to be smart casual.

Supporters who were unable to vote for their Player Of The Season at the last First Team home game can do so on the Forum part of this website. Just go to the First Team section of the Forum and post under the Supporters Player Of The Year thread. If you are not registered for the Forum then follow the instructions and you will be able register as a Forum User, therefore enabling you to vote.

10.05.12 - CAR BOOT SALES AT DAYS PARK

Over the Summer months, the Club are going to hold a Car Boot Sale every third Sunday of the month in the Club Car Park. Refreshments will be available for the public with entry from 8.00am. Cars will cost £5 and Light Vans £8. To book your place please contact Terry March on 07790 860397. The Car Boot Sales will be on the following Sundays: 20th May, 24th June, 20th August and 23rd September.

04.05.12 - FIXTURE NEWS

Swans game at Bridport Reserves which was postponed on Tuesday has been re-arranged for this coming Tuesday 8th May at St. Mary's Field with a 7.45pm start. Swans Reserves match with Shaftesbury Reserves which was cancelled last Saturday, has been re-arranged for Wednesday 9th May with a provisional kick-off of 7.00pm. This may be subject to change however.

Swans Magna DPL match with Bridport Reserves tonight has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at St. Mary's Field. However, the Dorset League 4 & 5 Cup match in Section Four of the competition between Swans 'A' and Milborne Sports Reserves at Day's Park tonight does go ahead.

30.04.12 - CONGRATULATIONS WAREHAM RANGERS

It seems like Swans Purbeck rivals Wareham Rangers - managed by ex-Swans Matty Welsh and Simon Lander - will once again be a DPL side next season after finishing second in the Dorset Senior League. Although pipped to the title by Portland United Reserves, Rangers are eligible for promotion so long as they satisfy ground grading when the DPL inspect their Purbeck Sports Centre base in the coming weeks before the DPL AGM on June 20th.

In the DPL, Sherborne Town Reserves are now certain to finish bottom after Shaftesbury defeated Tintinhull on Saturday. This will see Town back in the Senior League after just two seasons in the DPL. Wincanton Town will find out if their application to bring Western League football to Moor Lane has been successful in the next few weeks.

28.04.12 - SWANS RESERVES V SHAFTESBURY RESERVES - MATCH OFF

Swans Reserves DL1 match with Shaftesbury Reserves at Day's Park this afternoon has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch. No date has been set for the re-staging of the fixture but it is almost certain that the match will be a mid-week fixture. The 'A' teams match with Maiden Newton & Cattistock Reserves in the DL4&5 Cup on Journey's End does go ahead however. The match kicks off at 3pm.

28.04.12 - SWANS 'A' CUP RESULT REVERSED

Swans 'A' have had their 3-2 defeat to Weymouth Spartans Reserves in the Dorset Division 4&5 Cup reversed to a 2-0 win to the Swans after it was discovered that the Spartans had played a number of First team players in the fixture. Although Broadstone have already qualified for the Semi-Finals, if Swans win their remaining two matches they can finish in second place in the Section 4 table.

22.04.12 - YOUTH TEAM RESULTS ROUND-UP

Under 18's Suffer First League Cup Loss

Swans Under 18's traveled to Dorchester Town Magpies today in the League Cup and they suffered their first defeat in the competition. In very wet and windy conditions the match - played on a very poor surface - saw Swans trailing 3-1 at the break. In the second half Swans had chance after chance but only scored once with Dorchester netting a fourth on the break. Swans scorers were John Lovell and Jack Watson.
