29.01.12 - MAGNA DPL CUP SEMI-FINAL DRAW

Swans reward for defeating Portland United yesterday is a home Semi-Final with another of the division's big hitters Westland Sports. The last time the two sides met in the DPL Cup was in the 2010 Final when Swanage easily defeated Sports 3-0. A date for the tie has yet to be decided.

Super Swans Dump Islanders Out Of League Cup

Swans produced an inspirational showing to come from a goal down to knock DPL leaders Portland United out of the League Cup. Paul Best and the returning Liam Currell netted for the side, Currell's winner from the penalty spot came in the final minute of extra time after the sides were all square at 1-1 after 90 minutes. 28.01.12 - DL1 RESULT - SWANS 4 BERE REGIS 4

Last Gasp Equaliser Denies Swans

An injury time goal from the visitors denied Swans Reserves all three points in a pulsating clash at Day's Park. Mark Watson's side were 3-1 down at the break, but after the interval scored three un-answered goals to take the lead. As 90 minutes approached Bere levelled things up once again. 27.01.12 - CURRELL BACK IN SWANS SQUAD

Swans leading scorer so far this season Liam Currell seems to be in line for a sensational return to Day's Park after falling down the pecking order at new club Hamworthy United. Currell last played for Swans in early November and he signed for the County Ground outfit shortly after. After starting two matches and making three substitue appearances, scoring one goal Currell has found his chances limited in recent weeks due to the arrival of Lee Chudy from Wimborne Town. Paul Whitton has beat off competition for Currell from Purbeck Rivals Wareham Rangers and he looks set to start in tomorrows DPL Cup Quarter-Final.

24.01.12 - OPEN MEETING/FORUM THIS THURSDAY

The Club have decided to hold an open meeting/forum this Thursday - 27th January - at Day's Park in the Clubhouse with a 7.30pm start.

Anybody can attend and there will be officers of the Club, managers and players that will answer any question within reason that is put to them on the night.

If anybody that can't attend wants a question asked then please post them on our official forum thread titled "Open Meeting & Forum". Please add who you would like your question answered by too.

24.01.12 - CLUB STATEMENT - MERE TOWN V SWANS RESERVES

The Club are fully aware that the Dorset Football League will be holding a full investigation into the reasons surrounding the abandonment of the game between Mere Town and Swans Reserves last Saturday. The Club have this week re-assured the DCFA that the we will fully co-operate in any line of inquiry they pursue. The Club would like to apologise for their part in this unsavoury incident, especially the match official Mr Horlock.

20.01.12 - JOHN TRIM

Before tomorrows match with Sherborne Town Reserves, a minutes silence will be held for former player, manager and secretary of the Club John Trim who passed away last week after a short illness. He was one of the key figures in Swans rise to become one of Dorset's top non-league sides in the late 70's and 80's. All at Day's Park would like to pass on our condolences to John's family and escpecially to his wife Caroline at this difficult time. A Committal at Poole Crematorium will be followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at All Saints' Church, Western Road, Branksome Park on Monday 23rd January at 11.15am. Family flowers only please but donations in his memory for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund can be made by visiting www.tapperfuneralservice.co.uk or sent to 32/34 Parkstone Road, Poole BH15 2PG.
